Konnichiwa!

Hi there! I’m Emika, a Japanese university student. Although I currently live in Tokyo, I’ve spent most of my life in a lovely city called Matsumoto, which is abundant in nature and has awesome food.

In this blog I’ll share bits and pieces of my recipes and lifestyle as a Japanese plant-based foodie. I’m especially fascinated with sharing about legumes, local food culture and shojin dishes (the traditional buddhist vegan cuisine in Japan).

I like to eat local and plant-based whenever possible, and I’m passionate about getting to know different kinds of cuisines and food cultures beyond borders:)
